Position: Technical Systems Analyst

The Enterprise Business Solutions Branch with a staff of about ninety people provides all Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) support required for Ipswich City Council. This role sits within the Operations section, which is one of three sections reporting to the Enterprise Business Solutions Manager (IT CIO).

This position is one of three positions (two Technical Systems Analysts and one Senior Technical Systems Analyst) primarily responsible for the systems administration and technical support for Council's Suite of Enterprise Applications. This suite includes, but is not limited to, Pathway, Dataworks, GIS, PDOnline and Line of Business Applications.

This is a specialist system administrator role within the EAS Team requiring extensive knowledge of Pathway and Dataworks as it also aids in support of the Senior Technical Systems Analyst. This position ensures that all critical functions of the EAS suite are available for use by Council staff and are functioning as expected. This position also provides migration and administration changes and support for Operational activities as well as Projects currently being implemented by the Enterprise Business Solutions Branch.

The person required for this role will have
  • High level skill in the administration of Enterprise Applications.
  • High level skill in supporting users of Enterprise Applications at all levels.
  • Substantial skills in problem resolution and providing innovative and flexible approaches to problem solving, procedures and the use of new technology.
  • High level of communications skills to effectively manage key relationships at all levels of the organisation and to influence and provide advice to business representative and decision makers.
This is a full time position with the salary range being $65,792 to $75,722 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with employer superannuation of up to 12%.
