The University of Queensland Library is looking for 2 innovative, motivated and flexible Librarians to support the delivery of learning, discovery and engagement objectives of The University of Queensland within our Scholarly Publishing and Digitisation Service at the St Lucia Campus.
The Library is integral to achieving world-class scholarship at The University of Queensland. The Library's staff work in partnership with the academic and hospital community to provide convenient access to quality information, and to manage and provide access to UQ scholarship. The Library provides information services that are customisable to individual needs and which recognise disciplinary perspectives and their information requirements. The Library engages with the community to foster scholarship and strengthens the culture of collaboration and partnership within the University.
The role
The focus of these positions will be on supporting individual researchers and research teams with data management and data sharing issues and also to assist them in understanding academic performance and measurement as it relates to publishing (including research issues, impact factors and research assessment - citations and peer assessments).
The person
Applicants should possess a relevant degree and/or postgraduate qualification which qualifies for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association. You should also have excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational, customer service and teamwork skills, an understanding of current trends in Research, Learning and Teaching within an academic institution and highly developed skills in the use of current technologies for the delivery of information services.
Remuneration
These positions are fixed term and can be worked as either full time (36:15 hours per week) for 9 months or part time (27 hours per week) till the end of 2012. The remuneration package will be in the range $55,988 - $69,306 p.a. full time equivalent, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $61,027 - $81,088 p.a. full time equivalent).
