Community Liaison Officer Job Vacancy at State Library of Western Australia

The State Library of Western Australia seeks to enrich the lives of Western Australians by enabling access to resources for information, learning, enterprise and recreation; and collecting and preserving our social and documentary heritage for current and future generations.

The Community, Learning and Discovery Directorate leads the development and delivery of services fostering literacy and life long learning as well as leading the development of community engagement programs. The Directorate is made up of four key areas: Research and Discovery, Participation and Learning, Better Beginnings and Public Library Strategy and Development.

CONDITIONS: We currently have two fixed-term, full-time vacancies one until 30 June 2013 in the Research and Discovery Team and the other until 30 June 2014 in the Better Beginnings Team, both with a possibility of an extension and/or permanency.

Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, applicants for this position may be considered for “similar’ vacancies within the Culture and Arts Portfolio and/or the wider public sector which arise within a reasonable period of time. In addition to this, should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected from this process. Future vacancies may be fixed term or permanent, full-time or part-time.

Job Title: Community Liaison Officer (Indigenous Engagement)
Location: Perth in the Culture Centre hub close to the bustling café, tourist and shopping districts.
Salary: Level 4, $65,320 - $69,033 pa, PSGOGA 2011
Job Region: WA

Job Description: Coordinates the development and implementation of projects and services in the Indigenous area, supporting Indigenous community engagement.
